About Us

Who we are

Convention Ventures is an independent body, set-up in 1987, which organizes financial and investment related conferences in developing and emerging markets around the world. It has been collaborating over the years with the European Commission and most of the International Financial Institutions, on some of the major matters related to the EU economical and financial integration like the ECU and later on the EURO, the Enlargement process and the EU Mediterranean co-operation.

Today, conferences organized by Convention Ventures are being hosted amongst countries of the EU, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and are being held increasingly in the fast-developing economies of Sub-Saharan, Latin American and South East Asian markets.

The Head Office is based in Brussels. Since the late 1980s, it has organized events in more than 25 countries.

What we offer

The company presents itself as an Information tracker and provider in several developing sectors of emerging market economies. Infrastructure, transport & logistics, new energies, urban environmental development, healthcare & pharmaceuticals, telecoms, banking and investments are sectors commonly covered at Convention Ventures events.

The role of Convention Ventures is to provide a platform for communication, networking and debate. It has been reflected in the quality and diversity of our keynote speakers over the years. Several European Commissioners (including past Presidents of the Commission), have participated, complementing the range of National Government Ministers, Governors of Central Banks and their opposite numbers in pan- European economic and financial institutions.

Its conference programs are aimed at providing information and networking opportunities to its participants. Each event dedicates a part of its content to unveil the business development prospects through PR, branding or other pro-active participation opportunities. Several companies are taking advantage of this possibility to consolidate their presence in an industry or to enter a new market.
